Hello and welcome to "Fakiru Week"! A week-long celebration of Fakir and Ahiru from Princess Tutu!
Fakiru Week is one week of the year that is dedicated to the pairing of Fakir/Ahiru from Princess Tutu. To celebrate the pairing, artist and writers come together to share fanart and fanfic about the pairing centered around 7 prompts - one for each day of the week. We take no credit for the idea--see Zutara Week for a good example of what we're doing.
Be sure to have fun! There is no wrong way to interpret a prompt! The more creative, the better! Let your inspiration take you away!
RULES:
1. You must be part of the "Fakiru Week" group to submit anything to the group.
2. If your art or fic contains Mature Content (sexual themes, extreme violence, etc), please have it marked according to DA standards!
3. Absolutely no plagiarism or art theft allowed. The chances that none of the mods will recognize a stolen or copied work are very slim. Any plagiarized work will immediately be removed from the gallery, no questions asked and no excuses accepted.
4. Each prompt corresponds to a day. No art/fic submissions of the prompts are to be submitted UNTIL the day that prompt is centered around. If you want to submit something late, you may do so, but please put it in the correct folder!
5. Your entry must have been specifically made for Fakiru Week. If we get a submission that simply has the two of them focused on--while we'd probably love it--we can't accept it if the prompt is not made clear enough or there's no mention of the group in the description.
Guidelines/FAQ:
Week? What week is it?
- September 24th through September 30th (This year, that is Saturday the 24th--Friday the 30th)
How can I participate?
- First, be sure to join the group!
- The prompt list will be disclosed early, so there will be time for artists/writers to make their fanworks to share. But the prompts are not to be uploaded/shared before the day of the prompt itself. This is what makes it Fakiru "week", you see. Submitting before that makes a bit of a mess.
Do I have to do every prompt?
- Ideally, the goal is to do all 7. However, this is not a contest. You can do whichever you want or feel inspired to do, but make sure to post them on the correct days.
Can I use old deviations for this?
- Afraid not. That defeats the purpose of drawing/writing for the prompts. This isn't just for recycling old things that might fit a prompt.
Wait, so there's no prizes or winners?
- Nope. The winner is Fakir/Ahiru, because that's what we're sharing our love for!
- HOWEVER. By suggestion, I will be handing out a llama badge to everyone that manages to complete the full list of prompts! It's not much, but like I said, this isn't a contest. The badges are more or less for the effort.
Can I submit things for the prompts even if I'm not part of Deviant Art?
- Yes, you can! I (or one of the other co-founders/mods) will be making a post on the group each day of the Fakiru Week, for submissions outside of deviant art to link their work to. However, the rules do still apply: don't submit your art/fic links before the prompt day!
Can I tell other people about "Fakiru Week"?
- Absolutely! Spread the word far and wide and let's all get together and have fun and enjoy celebrating this amazing pairing together!

Here you said that one could submit things for Fakiru week even if they were belated, my question is: how much belated is acceptable? a week or only a few days or even more?
